    Sometime when you are having the last cigarette of the day do this little experiment. Close your eyes and take a slow drag, inhale and blow the smoke out. Can you be sure that the cigarette was actually lit? It it watching the smoke as you blow it out that gives a lot of the pleasure and gives a lot to the habit. I think people in Europe must smoke a lot more than we in the US do. If you ever think you may want to quit I know a little trick that helps a lot. It is still hard, but the actual nicotine addiction lasts only four or five days. People say that quitting smoking is as hard as quitting heroin. NOT TRUE AT ALL. After you are over the nicotine addiction, it is ingrained habits that support the desire to start again. When people would ask if I had a ‘light’, I would reach for my shirt pocket for matches years after I quit. I have had several habits and I have to say that smoking had no positive aspect at all. Drinking did have some positive aspects. Drinking is a real social thing and it helps form a bond of trust. I kind of miss drinking except I know where it would lead me. Right to the liquor store. With smoking; I have no desire at all. I heard that the electric cigarettes (smoking machine) are better and that you can get a variety of things to smoke in them.
