Excuse Me While I Whip This Out!
Remember that “Oh good grief!” I began yesterday’s post with? Well, if I had only known… After several very weird fits and starts, my entire neighborhood “went dark” for nearly six and a half hours starting just before 3pm. As usual, no explanation has been provided as to what was behind the outage. There were storms in the area at the time, but the power fluctuations began at least a half hour before they even got here. Argh! 
Needless to say, I was “a little bit flustered” by all of this, and was simply in no mood to respond to your comments when I was finally able to. Sorry about that! 
Anyway, I will try to get to them ASAP but, with even stronger storms in the area today, I wanted to “whip out” some mood soothing humor before another disaster strikes…

Muppets try out for Star Wars
A Mississippi town is paying tribute to Muppets creator Jim Henson on what would have been his 75th birthday Saturday. The town of Leland is renaming the Broad Street Bridge over Deer Creek “The Rainbow Connection,” after the 1979 film.
Just awesome, they are even painting the bridge span green…
Good morning world.
Am enjoying my 4th cup of coffee now since 5am (aahh). Enjoying a day off since for some reason there is a bankholiday in the UK (not really sure why but I don’t mind.). But of course my plan of trying to sleep in was discarded when 5am I just woke up
and no way of getting back to sleep. So 4 cuppa later there is definitely not a chance of going to sleep
