Latest PETA ad with Pamela Anderson denied in Montreal
Pamela Anderson’s latest PETA ad was denied a permit. The ad features Anderson in a bikini, her flesh stenciled as though a piece of meat with labels like ‘breast’, ‘leg’ and ‘rump’. The text above reads, “”All animals have the same parts. Have a heart — Go vegetarian.”
Pamela is in Montreal to perform at the Just for Laughs comedy festival and had hoped to launch her PETA campaign in front of the city hall
Montreal film commissioner Daniel Bissonnette, whose office denied the permit said:
“On one hand we’re working for an organization where we’re getting reminded on a daily basis that we should work in a sexism-free environment and that equality between men and women and the image of women is very important,”
Pamela was rightfully indignant, taking the logical step of comparing Canada to countries such as Saudi Arabia.
“In some parts of the world, women are forced to cover their whole bodies with burqas — is that next? I didn’t think that Canada would be so puritanical.”

I’m kinda flabbergasted to be honest, can’t see anything wrong with this ad at all…

I’m with Pamela on this one, as a veggie of 34 years I think that her poster hits the point home, I don’t hold with the argument of a sexism free environment as a reason to reject the advertisement. It would be interesting to see whether the argument still holds if the advertisement had Pamela and a male model with the same stencilling.
Say – I just now visited your blog for the first time, and I have to say I like it! Very nicely done!
Thanks, it is always good to hear that people enjoy my efforts.
isn’t it a great site, love those old postcards of mischief… and nuns nuns nuns of course…
well, thats the point really, how many swimsuit models isn’t out there on the billboards, belive this has something to do just because its a PETA issue…
I like Pam, I always have – but honestly, when I saw it, it made me want to grill a couple of ribeye steaks with a green salad and a glass of Merlot.
See, at least I said salad! I admire vegetarians for their dedication. Most vegetarians I know have a lot more knowledge of nutrition than the average person – but I don’t think I could ever be a vegetarian – to me, that’s not food, that’s what food EATS!
I have to admit that I do miss pork pies, but must eschew on two counts.
same same, love the green stuff as well but am afraid that if I see a cow, I must eat it…
born and raised on a farm, my dear grandfather was on off the few people who actually belived that vegetarians was people from outer space, this is an actual truth, he was not always all there to be honest… he really freaked out when my then girlfriend told him that she was a veggie, I kinda forgot to mention to her about his slight problem with vegetarians…
I don’t see what’s wrong with the ad. I thought it was very tastefully done. I may not always agree with PETA’s tactics but they’re usually on point with their ads.
No problem with the ad.
It’s a shame that the people running PETA are so batshit insane, though. I still can’t get over the whole “sea kitten” campaign…or the notion that having a pet is inherently abusive to the animal…or that animals should never be put to work for humans…or…well, you get the idea.
Vegetarianism I can respect, though, even if I can’t see myself practicing it.
word. wholeheartedly agree with ya..
Pamela Anderson is superb mind blowing and world best sexy girls i love her muuuuuah
I truly admire her, she is so sexy it’s nasty…
